From "There, I Fixed It," we have this shiny fix of a hole in the floor. How would you test this? Is it usable?
New Exercise for the Readers
After recently learning of the Weekend Testers group, I thought it might be interesting to apply the same concept to a less technical system under test. I believe that quality assurance and testing principals should be applicable in a broader context to validate their usage in the narrow context of software development.
Over the next few weeks, a few "fixes" displayed on sites such as "There, I Fixed It!" and "FAIL Blog" will be reprinted here. Please explore how these fixes would be tested (functionality, usability, etc.) and most likely failure modes. Enjoy!
